Graveney and Meadow

Very welcoming bar in Tooting Broadway, South London, the Graveney & Meadow is a lovely bar, restaurant and coffee shop all in one. Perfect for the area which is awash with students, families, young professionals and more and is exceptionally diverse.

The bottle beer selection is strong stocking a small range of styles and great craft brands including Odell IPA. The draft ale and lager is good quality but I personally found the range to be limited and uninspired. However, the wine selection is strong, the cocktails are fantastic and the overall atmosphere which Antic seem to easily create in their pubs is inviting, inclusive and fun.

It looks great with its dark wood, trendy lighting, mix and match tables and chairs and effortless charm and charisma. I became a dad a year ago, hence the lack of posts on this site recently and this bar became my go-to drinking hole during the day (evenings -when we have a babysitter are for The Antelope). There is ample space for LOADS of pushchairs and highchairs, the food is good, the bakery is yummy, the staff polite, very friendly and very helpful. We made friends with several very quickly.

After the pushchairs role out, the students and groups of locals roll in to catch up over drinks. The atmosphere is always buzzing in the Graveney & Meadow but not overpowering, a great place to meet friends, and cool. Even staying relatively late with our newborn we were made to feel welcome and part of the community. This is something that not all pubs can boast, sadly!

Well worth checking out anytime of the day.
