The Belgian Bar is a wonderful Belgian style cafe bar that feels just like the genuine article and can be found in the town of Altrincham, between Manchester and Chester. A great selection of authentic beers, good wine, good food, great venue and lovely staff.
Amazingly The Belgian Bar is my second great Belgian bar find within a week having stumbled upon the Lowlander Grand Cafe in London last week. The Belgian Bar boasts 280+ international beers to drink in or magnificently, to take away as they are also an Off Licence! They were only out of stock of a couple of bottles but we still managed to devour Kwak, Brew Dog Punk IPA, Schneider Weisse, Timmermans Kriek, Mc Chouffe, Goulden Carolus Ambrio and much more! The stand out beer for me was the fruity overtones of Brew Dog’s Punk IPA.
Brown wood walls, small rooms, roaring fire, multiple floors, metal beer logos on the walls and friendly staff make this an inviting place to be. Add in a bewilderingly large selection of beers and you have a mini piece of heaven. And to make things better there is a similar pub round the corner! (www.letrappiste.com). Altrincham – we salut you!
